Welcome to our Trip's Blog!

We thought it would be a fun Idea to keep a Blog about our amazing trip to Uganda this summer-

First of all, THANKYOU so so so much to all the people who have donated towards our trip, and also everyone who have brought our cakes, paid us to wash their cars, came to our NYFC evening and also everyone who has prayed! (We wouldn't be any where near where we are now without you!)

With only 37 days until we go, everything is happening, I will attempt to keep you all in the loop with our last few fundraisers, planning meetings, and of course what we are getting up to while we are there!

We had our second team day on Saturday- Team days are always fun to hang out with the guys we are going with, as well as getting excited for the trip, praying and planning! We focused on planning on saturday, there is so much to plan! Small groups planned our programmes for: Catch up education classes, pre school, girls classes, football, netball, athletics, music workshops and planning our murals. There is still final little bits of planning to do, but we have done the majority of it! Wahoo!

We are currently about £1750 away from our final fundraising target, which is fairly scary, as we only have 5 weeks to go, but looking back at over £20,000 we have already raised we are trusting that we will get it all in the end! (Thank you Jesus and the Church!)

What we are up to at the moment- Well, a lot of the team have now finished school/exams, which is so great.- they are now in charge of the final fundraisers; including fulfilling auction of promises' promises, organising clothes collections, cake sales and hopefully an afternoon tea in august (watch out for more info about this!) We are also finalising lesson plans and trying to get together all of our resources and supplies we need to take with us.

We have an exciting new link with the Holy Trinity Pre-school and the Pre-school in Mbale, so next week we are recording our Pre-school singing a song, as well as doing some fact files on 2 of the children, in the hopes we can do similar things with the Ugandans to bring back!

So, if you are still reading- Thanks,

And if you are a prayer- please pray for:
-The final £1750
-Preparations for sessions and lessons, that we can approach them with the right attitudes and sensitivity, as well as being at the right level for the Ugandan kids.
-Continued recovery from illness for several of the people going on the trip.
-Thanks, as we now have all passports back from the passport office, so everyone can actually leave England!

-More info coming soon!
